Custom Wedding Invitations

Hello Friends,
Hope you're having a splendid week!

It's been a while I did a blog post on some of our past client's invitations. I assure you that you're going to love this post lol.
I had the pleasure of working primarily with the groom for these Tiffany Blue Couture Wedding Invitations. He was ver particular about what he wanted and we began work very quickly. The wedding was last July in Michigan. Enjoy...

Adriana & Alredo

I absolutely love Adriana's wedding colors - Black and Red. She chose a layered flatcard and we accented it with some bling. This is a very simple, yet classically elegant invitation. Adriana & Alfredo were married in December 2012 at the gorgeous Bell Tower on 34th in Houston, Texas.

Yemi & Taj

We truly enjoyed working with Yemi for her wedding invitations. The first we met with her, she knew right off the bat that she wanted the invitations to set the tone for her wedding. And boy did they set the tone. She worked with Chioma of Dure Events to help bring her vision to life. I tell you her wedding was breathtakingly beautiful! Below are some of the images captured by the always awesome Raheem of RhPhotoarts.

Yemi chose one of our couture invitations. Her wedding colors definitely helped with the elegance of her wedding stationery and decor.

The Reception Programs/Menu cards were single flatcards but we used an ornate lace pattern and accented them with Pearl stones to complement her wedding invitations.

New Invitations & Wedding Stationery

Hello all!
It's been a minute since I did a full blog post. It's been an interesting year thus far. I'm thankful to be blessed with some of the sweetest brides & their families. I'm super excited for my bride's stationery this year. Brides are definitely thinking outside the box and I LOVE IT!!!

Traci & Andy
First up is Traci & Andy. I met Traci, her mom and her then future MIL several months ago. Her mom loved the pocket idea but Traci fell in love with the striped pattern invitation we did for "Amanda & Henry". Amanda & Henry's invitation was featured in the current issue of Houston Bride's Modern Luxury magazine. After our fun meeting, they left for another consultation. A couple of hours afterwards, to my surprise, they returned and Traci mentioned she didn't want to look at anything else and she wanted to go with the striped pattern invitation. I loved all of Traci's stationery. Did I mention she's a super sweet doll!!! Traci & Andy were married last weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana. Congratulations Traci & Andy!!!

The Invitation - Square 4 Layer Flatcard with a custom striped pattern and pearl embellishment

Once the invitations went out [and the guests loved them], Traci returned to have us design her ceremony programs.
Programs - Booklet style with a satin ribbon accent. I absolutely love the programs. Very simple yet classy & elegant!

Reeta & Bill
I received an SOS email from Alia at Belle of the Ball events a few weeks before Reeta & Bill's wedding. Even though we were pretty swamped with work, I decided to take on the challenge especially since I work with Alia often (and I love her!). We set up a meeting with the couple and we clicked. Reeta & Bill are in no way traditional. This was reflective in their choice of colors, font, design etc. So I was pleasantly surprised when Reeta chose to add some ribbon to the programs and rhinestones to the placecards. I love everything about their stationery. A friend of the couple created a piece of art for them (being lovers of art). The art painting became a quitessential representation of their wedding and was used in most of the stationery. They are such a cute couple and were a pleasure to work with. Reeta & Bill were married earlier this month at Hotel ZaZa in Houston.

Ceremony Programs - Double Layered Flatcard with a Satin Ribbon accent. With art painting created for the couple by their friend.

Escort Cards - Square tent with the couple's monogram watermarked

Placecards - Square layered tent cards

Ali & Brian
When I met Ali, 2 things were certain, she wanted the textured backer and a pocket. We just needed to marry all the other elements she liked without making the invitation too busy and we were golden. Once I was able to help her narrow down the essentials and non-essentials, we came up with something nice and elegant. I must say because she had 4 enclosures (each with a backing), this was a pretty heavy invitation. In addition, we lined the envelopes with pink (ha! gotta love my brides!). I enjoyed working with Ali and her mom on the invitations. Ali & Brian were married earlier this month at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island in Florida. Congratulations Ali & Brian!

The Invitation - Large square Pocketfold with a textured backer.

Kourtney & Obi
I met Kourtney with her mom and aunt late last year. We schedule a 2nd meeting with her fiance Obi to finalize the details of the invitations. I particularly love Kourtney's color choice and the simplicity and elegance of her invitations. Kourtney was such an easy going bride and a pleasure to work with. Kourtney & Obi were married earlier this month at the gorgeous Bell Tower on 34th. Congratulations Kourtney & Obi

The Invitation: Gate style with a lavender rhinestone accent.

We created a custom map of the general area of the Bell Tower for guests

Well that's all for now. More gorgeous are coming up soon. Can you believe April is almost gone?!...Enjoy the week everyone

Work [in progress]!

Hi Everyone!
Happy Monday...I hope you had a lovely weekend! Mine was spent working on invitations and a website re-design. As if it's not busy enough, I have decided to re-design our website. I love the current website however as technology advances, we have to change with it. Amongst other things, the new website will have better mobile capabilities so that we ipad and iphone users can view the site while Apple works out their Adobe Flash issues. In addition, it will be more user-friendly and I love the new gallery. I'm pretty excited about it. There's still some more tweaking to be done then I'll be done with it. I hope to launch the new website by the end of the month (fingers crossed!)
Here's a preview

Below are a few of the invitations we've worked on. Since I don't like to post invitations until after the wedding and most invitations are completed several months before the event, I sometimes have a difficult time deciding what photos to post :(

Natalie & Bob
I met with Natalie, her mom and wedding planner, Alia Rdissi (Belle of the Ball) sometime last year (We worked together for over a year on all the stationery items). We began work on the Save the date cards. We pretty much produced all the stationery for this event from the Save the date to the Thank you notes. I also got to work with Natalie's [now] mother in law on the Rehearsal Dinner stationery. This was such a special family to work with. The couple were married last weekend at the Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa in Houston. I wish Natalie & Bob a very happy married life!

The Save the date card was a Double layer Flat card with the hotel accommodations at the back

Front and Back

The Wedding Invitation was a Pocket style with 3 enclosures.

The Enclosures - a custom map was done to detail the ceremony and reception locations as well as the hotels

Ceremony Program - Folded card with a Satin Ribbon accent

Table Card - Layered Flat card.

Tent Escort cards with couple's monogram

Escort Cards for the Rehearsal Dinner. Done slightly different from the Wedding reception escort cards

Circle Favor Stickers for the Rehearsal Dinner Crave cupcakes

Nicole & Rob
Nicole wanted to have a custom pattern created for her invitations and that's what we did :) We likes the damask pattern; which we incorporated into the invitations. Nicole and Rob were married last month at the gorgeous Bell Tower on 34th in Houston, Texas.

Her invitation was a Gatefold with the printed damask backing

The enclosures

Kelli & Diego
I met Kelli at the Bell Tower Bridal open house earlier this year. We later had a meeting with her Fiance, Diego. They are such a cute couple. She was a happy-go-lucky bride and was such a pleasure to work with! Kelli & Diego were married also at the Bell Tower on 34th last month

The invitation was a Layered Flat card with a Satin Ribbon and Rhinestone accents

We also created the ceremony programs

That's all for now; have a pleasant and productive week!
