Creative Invitation styles from our Online Catalog Store

Hi all!!!
Today, we're blogging about a few catalog invitation styles.
As with all other aspects of your wedding, your invitations give you an opportunity to reflect the colors, theme, and/or season of your wedding. They are your first opportunity to “WOW” guests and give them a sneak peek into your wedding style. Incorporate colors and motifs reminiscent of the time of year without being too predictable. Creative additions like ribbon, jute string, or a small feather can help create a memorable design. Whatever you decide, make your invitations innovative and unique to your personal style and wedding.

Sara + Ben & more Wedding Stationery

Hello everyone!
Wedding season is in full swing and blogging has had to take a backseat. But I'm excited about this blog post. I met Sara and her mom through their wedding planner, Alia with Belle of the Ball. We didn't have very much time to work on her invitations as we met about 31/2 months or so before her wedding. During our meeting, Sara fell in love with one of our Couture invitations. Of course, her wedding theme was Diamonds and Bling!!!! We began working almost immediately because Couture Invitations have a longer lead time than the standard custom invitations. With further ado, below is the stationery we created for her wedding. Sara & Ben were married in May in Austin, Texas. Congratulations!!!

Wedding Invitations - Silk Folio with Pockets for the enclosures.

Ceremony Programs - Sara wanted the programs kept very traditional so, we used white card stock with Silver ribbon

Menu Cards - 8" Round Menu cards went under clear glass beaded chargers

Table cards

Place cards with colored rhinestones signify each guest's meal selection

We also created Sara's Rehearsal Dinner invitations. She fell in love with the Layered Flat card from the time she saw it in the studio and didn't want to change a thing on it!

Melissa & Nicholas
Melissa is one of our sweetest brides this year (thankfully, we've been blessed with very sweet brides this year who have been an absolute pleasure to work with). I met with Melissa, her Mom and Wedding Planner - Alia with Belle of the Ball in April, 2011! We began working on the save the dates shortly after. It was joy working on Melissa's wedding stationery. Her wedding took place at Hotel ZaZa Houston and if you know ZaZa, then you'll notice that the pattern/textures of the invitations were very reflective of the venue. Congratulations Melissa & Nick!

The Save the Dates were double layered with the hotel accommodations on the back.

I love the simplicity and elegance of the invitations. The purple was a nice color touch to the neutral tones of the other paper choices. What bride doesn't like a little extra bling!

The ceremony program was a folder style with the ribbon matched from the invitations. We created a monogram for the couple and brought in the pattern from the invitations.

More to come shortly :)

New Invitations & Wedding Stationery

Hello all!
It's been a minute since I did a full blog post. It's been an interesting year thus far. I'm thankful to be blessed with some of the sweetest brides & their families. I'm super excited for my bride's stationery this year. Brides are definitely thinking outside the box and I LOVE IT!!!

Traci & Andy
First up is Traci & Andy. I met Traci, her mom and her then future MIL several months ago. Her mom loved the pocket idea but Traci fell in love with the striped pattern invitation we did for "Amanda & Henry". Amanda & Henry's invitation was featured in the current issue of Houston Bride's Modern Luxury magazine. After our fun meeting, they left for another consultation. A couple of hours afterwards, to my surprise, they returned and Traci mentioned she didn't want to look at anything else and she wanted to go with the striped pattern invitation. I loved all of Traci's stationery. Did I mention she's a super sweet doll!!! Traci & Andy were married last weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana. Congratulations Traci & Andy!!!

The Invitation - Square 4 Layer Flatcard with a custom striped pattern and pearl embellishment

Once the invitations went out [and the guests loved them], Traci returned to have us design her ceremony programs.
Programs - Booklet style with a satin ribbon accent. I absolutely love the programs. Very simple yet classy & elegant!

Reeta & Bill
I received an SOS email from Alia at Belle of the Ball events a few weeks before Reeta & Bill's wedding. Even though we were pretty swamped with work, I decided to take on the challenge especially since I work with Alia often (and I love her!). We set up a meeting with the couple and we clicked. Reeta & Bill are in no way traditional. This was reflective in their choice of colors, font, design etc. So I was pleasantly surprised when Reeta chose to add some ribbon to the programs and rhinestones to the placecards. I love everything about their stationery. A friend of the couple created a piece of art for them (being lovers of art). The art painting became a quitessential representation of their wedding and was used in most of the stationery. They are such a cute couple and were a pleasure to work with. Reeta & Bill were married earlier this month at Hotel ZaZa in Houston.

Ceremony Programs - Double Layered Flatcard with a Satin Ribbon accent. With art painting created for the couple by their friend.

Escort Cards - Square tent with the couple's monogram watermarked

Placecards - Square layered tent cards

Ali & Brian
When I met Ali, 2 things were certain, she wanted the textured backer and a pocket. We just needed to marry all the other elements she liked without making the invitation too busy and we were golden. Once I was able to help her narrow down the essentials and non-essentials, we came up with something nice and elegant. I must say because she had 4 enclosures (each with a backing), this was a pretty heavy invitation. In addition, we lined the envelopes with pink (ha! gotta love my brides!). I enjoyed working with Ali and her mom on the invitations. Ali & Brian were married earlier this month at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island in Florida. Congratulations Ali & Brian!

The Invitation - Large square Pocketfold with a textured backer.

Kourtney & Obi
I met Kourtney with her mom and aunt late last year. We schedule a 2nd meeting with her fiance Obi to finalize the details of the invitations. I particularly love Kourtney's color choice and the simplicity and elegance of her invitations. Kourtney was such an easy going bride and a pleasure to work with. Kourtney & Obi were married earlier this month at the gorgeous Bell Tower on 34th. Congratulations Kourtney & Obi

The Invitation: Gate style with a lavender rhinestone accent.

We created a custom map of the general area of the Bell Tower for guests

Well that's all for now. More gorgeous are coming up soon. Can you believe April is almost gone?!...Enjoy the week everyone

Making of a Custom Invitation Series 2 - Comeka & Jose

Hello!I hope your week is going smoothly.
Last year, I began a series called "Making of a Custom Invitation". You can read it here. I was looking through our photo archives and found these lovelies we created for Comeka & Jose.
We first met Comeka at the January 2011 Bridal Extravaganza and she held on to your flyer for several months. Once she was to begin her invitation process, she contacted us back in September of last year. She loved the pocket style and needed her invitations to be bilingual (English & Spanish). To save from having to do 2 separate invitation suites, we decided to go with a larger card size and have both languages on 1 invitation suite. I absolutely love Comeka's colors - Mocha and Pink.
Comeka & Jose were married on December 10, 2011 at the Houston City Club. Enjoy!

The invitations were also embellished with a satin ribbon. This was a last minute addition and I'm glad Comeka opted for it.
